Dragon Soul · Featured Work
Dragonsoul was a free-to-play mobile RPG built around fast-paced team combat, collectible heroes, and a playful parody of classic fantasy. Players battled to free legendary heroes trapped inside Soulstones, building an increasingly powerful team along the way. I created marketing creative that leaned into the game’s colorful characters, humorous personality, and action-driven gameplay to attract and engage mobile players.
01 · Trailer
I concepted and produced the Dragonsoul trailer from start to finish, developing the marketing copy, capturing gameplay and character animations, and shaping the final edit. I focused on bringing the game’s irreverent personality to the forefront, using its comedic characters, playful tone, and fast-paced action to create a trailer that felt true to the game while showcasing its core gameplay.
02 · Sticker Art
I designed a set of iMessage stickers to extend Dragonsoul’s characters and humor beyond the game itself and create another way for players to engage with the brand. I planned a range of expressive reactions based on the game’s personality, then designed each sticker to capture its playful, irreverent tone. The goal was to turn recognizable characters into shareable moments that could encourage players to interact with and spread the game socially.

03 · Animation
I wanted to showcase what made Dragonsoul stand out: its distinctive character art, animation, and irreverent personality. Using Spine, I discovered I could access and repurpose the game’s individual character animation frames as video assets, allowing me to construct fully animated battles specifically for advertising. These two concepts served as proof of concept for how far we could stretch the game’s existing assets into more imaginative, character-driven marketing creative.
04 · Ad Spot
Building on my experiments with Spine animation, I created a trailer that pushed Dragonsoul’s characters beyond the boundaries of their own game world—literally breaking the fourth wall. The concept used the characters’ expressive animations and comedic timing to highlight the game’s irreverent personality, showing that beneath its traditional fantasy setting was a game that didn’t take itself too seriously.
05 · Ad Creative
I created two short-form Facebook ads designed to turn the platform itself into part of the creative. The first used a video carousel to showcase three humorous stages of character progression, tapping into the RPG appeal of watching characters grow stronger over time. The second mimicked the experience of scrolling through a typical Facebook post, only to have the Electro Yeti unexpectedly break the fourth wall, knock the “post” out of the feed, and walk away. Both concepts used unexpected humor and familiar social formats to make character progression and Dragonsoul’s irreverent personality more entertaining and memorable.
